Message from the Assistant Principal

High School is undoubtedly one of the most important milestones of life.  It provides exciting experiences which should be both enjoyable and enlightening.  High school is also a time for change. The work load and adjustments for students are greater than any school level. Students learn to become self-reliant and self-disciplined individuals.  It is during the High school years that our thoughts become our words, our words become our actions, our actions become our habits, and our habits define who we are molded into as we move into the next level.

It is the goal of the professional and dedicated faculty and staff at Leflore County High School to ensure that every child develops the critical thinking skills, interests and habits to meet the challenges of life as a productive member of society.  The students at Leflore County High School will be provided countless opportunities to grow socially, physically, academically, morally, and emotionally.  I believe that the students’ high school years with us will be educationally and socially profitable.  For every minute of preparation we will make sixty seconds of progress toward success.

Together, students, teachers, parents, faculty and staff will provide a safe and healthy learning environment for all students during this educational year. We must concentrate on the processes that promote continuing advancement:  evaluating what we have, determining what we can do to improve, and identifying what we need to make improvement. Our goal is to prepare students to be college and career ready. Go Tigers!!!

Have a good year.  I appreciate your effort and look forward to working with each of you.
